GE HealthCare has introduced its ultra-premium 1.5T MRI system—SIGNA™ Sprint—designed to bring high-gradient power and clarity previously reserved for 3.0T systems. Unveiled at ISMRM 2025 in Honolulu, this wide bore MRI system integrates high-performance gradient technology and AI-based solutions to enable faster, more precise imaging in critical areas such as cardiology and oncology.
With 65/200 gradient performance per axis, SIGNA Sprint is tailored to deliver crystal-clear images of sub-millimetric structures, significantly enhancing the diagnostic and treatment planning process. It’s also geared toward fast clinical adoption and quantitative imaging, pushing 1.5T capabilities to new limits. For oncology, exceptional diffusion imaging and deep-learning reconstruction offer a leap in monitoring disease progression and treatment response.
SIGNA Sprint prioritizes both image quality and patient experience. It features a 70cm wide bore, free-breathing capabilities, and soft AIR™ Coils, ensuring comfort during procedures. Built-in AI tools like AIR™ Recon DL, Sonic DL™, and AIR x™ streamline workflow and ensure consistency across imaging sessions.
GE HealthCare is also showcasing other innovations at ISMRM, including the SIGNA™ MAGNUS (a head-only MR scanner), Sonic DL™ 3D for accelerated imaging, and Freelium™, a helium-free magnet platform in development.
