Siemens Healthineers is showcasing its Cios Go mobile C-arm platform, including Cios Go and Cios Go ID, at the German Congress of Orthopedics and Traumatology.
Cios Go ID incorporates a display directly on the C-arm and has a compact footprint designed for surgical environments with limited space. The platform supports two-dimensional intraoperative imaging across orthopaedic, spinal, vascular and other minimally invasive procedures.
Its imaging tools include Live Zoom, which magnifies selected areas without changing the patient’s radiation dose, and SpotAdapt, which automatically adjusts the image within a defined region of interest. Live Graphical Overlay allows users to annotate clinical images on the touchscreen.
The systems offer 3.5 kW or 5 kW generator configurations and flat detector options measuring 20 cm by 20 cm or 31 cm by 31 cm. A 27-inch ultra-high-definition display supports image assessment during procedures.
“The systems bring clarity, flexibility, and streamlined workflows directly into the operating room,” said Peter Seitz, Head of Image-Guided Surgery and Robotics at Siemens Healthineers.
A green laser localiser assists positioning, while the Target Pointer supports placement of long instruments such as K-wires. Touch controls allow users to zoom, pan and rotate images, with guided steps for patient registration and examination setup.
The integrated display can be positioned for viewing from different areas of the operating room. A monitor arm lock secures it during transport, while standby functionality allows the system to be disconnected, moved and resumed without a full reboot.
Siemens Healthineers stated that the product does not yet fulfil all applicable General Safety and Performance Requirements under the European Medical Device Regulation. The products and features described are not commercially available, and future availability is not guaranteed.
