Galvanize Therapeutics reports new evidence on immune effects of Aliya pulsed electric field therapy

New peer-reviewed clinical findings suggest pulsed electric field ablation may trigger organised immune responses within tumours in addition to its local tissue-ablation effects.

Galvanize Therapeutics has reported new clinical evidence suggesting that its Aliya pulsed electric field technology may produce immune effects within tumours in addition to locally ablating tissue.

The findings were published in Clinical Cancer Research and examine immune changes following pulsed electric field ablation in patients with non-small cell lung cancer.

Aliya uses pulsed electric field energy to ablate targeted tissue through short electrical pulses.

According to Galvanize, the latest research provides evidence that treatment may also alter the tumour immune environment.

The study examined the formation and organisation of immune structures within treated tumours and reported changes associated with immune activation following pulsed electric field exposure.

The findings add to preclinical and clinical research evaluating whether local ablation technologies can influence immune responses beyond the immediate treatment site.

Galvanize said the results support further investigation into the biological effects of its platform and its potential role alongside other oncology treatments.

The company is developing Aliya technologies for oncology and chronic lung disease.

“We are encouraged by the growing body of preclinical and clinical evidence pointing toward a potentially meaningful immune response,” the company said.

The findings come as Galvanize continues the commercial rollout of the Aliya platform following recent US regulatory clearance and first commercial use of the Aliya EX system.

The company is also presenting the Aliya EX Generator to interventional pulmonology specialists during the 2026 annual meeting of the American Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology.

The emerging data add a new dimension to the evaluation of pulsed electric field technology, with future studies expected to determine whether immune changes observed following ablation translate into clinically meaningful benefits for patients.
