Perlove Medical’s PLX C22 Series Mobile FPD C-arm has completed its latest product registration update in China and is moving towards the next stage of market introduction, according to the company.
The C22 represents an upgrade to Perlove’s previous C-arm platform, incorporating changes across mechanical design, imaging hardware and clinical software. The system is designed to provide greater surgical working space, enhanced imaging capabilities and intraoperative guidance for hospitals.
The C22 features a 5 kW/110 kHz generator, with pulsed fluoroscopy of up to 40 mA and 30 frames per second (fps). Its imaging system includes a 0.3/0.6 mm rotating-anode X-ray tube, with a 200 kHU anode and 1.8 MHU housing heat capacity. The system is available with multiple flat-panel detector (FPD) configurations of up to 30 × 30 cm.
For improved surgical access and positioning, the C22 provides a 900 mm opening, 710 mm arc depth and 1,100 mm source-to-image distance (SID). The system also incorporates a 27-inch 4K medical display.
On the software side, the C22 includes intelligent K-wire guidance, metal artefact correction, image annotation and dose-area product (DAP) measurement, along with optional long-bone stitching. These capabilities are intended to support visualisation of bones and implants and provide intraoperative guidance.
According to Perlove, internal benchmarking against selected international systems showed competitive specifications across several parameters. Compared with the GE system included in its benchmark, the C22 features a rotating-anode tube, 0.3/0.6 mm focal spots, a 900 mm opening and higher tube heat capacity. Against the Carestream dyna-C300, the C22 offers a higher generator frequency, greater tube-housing heat capacity, longer vertical travel and wider axial rotation.
The company said the platform is designed to address the needs of hospitals seeking easier positioning, greater working space around patients and improved intraoperative imaging. Its multiple configurations are also intended to support different hospital requirements and tender specifications.
Perlove has maintained a leading position in China's C-arm market for five consecutive years, according to third-party annual market rankings, and has installed C-arm systems across China as well as an expanding number of international markets.
With the latest registration update completed, the company is now preparing for the next stage of the C22 Series' market introduction and international engagement.
