RAD Technology Medical Systems provides Titus Regional Medical Centre with Temporary Radiotherapy Vault

The RAD Temp eliminates the need for patients to face treatment delays or travel long distances to the next closest treatment facility

RAD Technology Medical Systems (RAD) announced the installation of its RAD Temp at Titus Regional Medical Centre (TRMC) in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. The temporary radiotherapy facility, installed adjacent to CancerCARE at Titus—Patty & Bo Pilgrim Cancer Centre, ensures uninterrupted services while TRMC upgrades its current vault and linear accelerator to provide greater precision and improved treatment options.

Cancer treatment often requires patients to undergo daily therapy sessions for up to 6-8 weeks, making continuity of care essential. The RAD Temp eliminates the need for patients to face treatment delays or travel long distances to the next closest treatment facility.

"Maintaining access to treatment throughout an equipment upgrade is critical for patients facing cancer," said Kenneth Wright, Vice President of Sales and Business Development at RAD. "Our RAD Temp allows TRMC to seamlessly continue providing care while modernising their technology because cancer centres shouldn't have to cease delivery of critical services to their community to improve services to their community."

The RAD Temp is a turnkey treatment centre, complete with a pre-commissioned linear accelerator, reception, waiting, and administrative areas, and restroom facilities. Comprised of eight (8) modules and assembled on site in only two days, it delivers the safety and efficiency of a permanent cancer centre in a relocatable structure with minimal disruption to physicians, patients, and staff.
