Avoset Pain Management System Launched to Enhance Post-Surgical Pain Management

Eitan Medical’s Avoset platform integrates programmable delivery modes and digital connectivity to improve safety and personalization in regional anesthesia

A new smart infusion system designed to improve post-surgical pain management has been launched in the United States, introducing connected drug delivery technology to support peripheral nerve block (PNB) infusions in regional anesthesia.

Developed by Eitan Medical, the Avoset® Pain Management System combines a compact electronic infusion pump with a comprehensive, service-enabled delivery model aimed at simplifying care across both hospital and home settings.

The innovation integrates multiple delivery modes within a single platform, including programmable intermittent bolus (PIB), patient-controlled analgesia (PCA), and continuous basal infusion. This allows clinicians to tailor pain management protocols based on patient needs and institutional practices, improving flexibility and precision in therapy delivery.

Designed with usability and safety in mind, the system features simplified programming, preset configurations, and a backlit display for ease of operation in clinical environments. Its connected architecture supports web-based programming and integration with digital health platforms, enabling data-driven insights into patient-controlled pain management and helping reduce the risk of medication errors.

A key differentiator of the system is its service-based model, which provides healthcare facilities with single-patient-use kits rather than requiring ownership and maintenance of pump inventories. Each kit includes a reusable infusion device, administration sets, patient education materials, and return packaging, supporting efficient deployment and logistics.

The system also extends care beyond the clinical setting, with dedicated patient support services available throughout the recovery period. This supports the shift toward hybrid care models, where patients can receive care at home with healthcare products.

Additional features such as delayed start functionality and keep-vein-open (KVO) settings further expand the system’s applicability across a range of post-surgical use cases, enhancing operational efficiency for healthcare providers.
