Thailand LAB INTERNATIONAL 2026 will be held alongside Bio+ HealthTech INTERNATIONAL 2026 and FutureCHEM INTERNATIONAL 2026 under the theme “ASEAN Scientific Innovation Ecosystem”, bringing laboratory, biotechnology, health technology and chemical industries together on a single platform.
Organised by VNU Asia Pacific, the three co-located exhibitions are intended to connect research, technology and business while supporting Thailand’s ambition to strengthen its position as a regional centre for science, technology and innovation.
Artificial intelligence will be a key focus of the 2026 programme. A panel discussion titled “AI Empowering the Future of Science & Health Industry” will bring together representatives from government agencies, academia, professional associations and industry to discuss how AI is being applied across research, laboratories, healthcare and industrial settings.
“Thailand LAB INTERNATIONAL, Bio+ HealthTech INTERNATIONAL, and FutureCHEM INTERNATIONAL are more than trade exhibitions; they are ASEAN-level platforms that connect the laboratory, biotechnology, chemical, and healthcare innovation ecosystems,” said Anucha Phanpichet, Assistant Director of the Science and Health Division at VNU Asia Pacific.
“Our goal is to drive research, investment, and the development of future industries. We envision these events as meeting points for researchers, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, government agencies, and investors to foster collaboration and unlock new business opportunities that will propel Thailand toward becoming ASEAN’s innovation hub.”
Dr Pathomporn Siraprapasiri, Advisor on Digital Public Health to the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and Advisor on Data Integration at the Big Data Institute, highlighted the role of data infrastructure in healthcare and research.
“Big data and AI are becoming essential drivers for advancing scientific research, innovation, and healthcare systems in Thailand. Secure, well-governed, and actionable data integration will enhance the capabilities of researchers, healthcare professionals, and industry stakeholders while accelerating Thailand’s transition toward a sustainable digital economy.”
AI-enabled laboratories and automation will also feature prominently at the event.
Wattana Pasuk, President of the Science and Technology Trade Association, said AI, smart laboratories and automation can improve productivity, reduce errors and increase accuracy while enabling researchers to focus on knowledge generation and innovation.
Assoc. Prof. Dr Pahnan Rattawongjirakul, President of the Medical Technology Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Somsavali, said AI should support rather than replace medical technologists.
“AI is not here to replace medical technologists, but to serve as a powerful tool for improving diagnostic quality, minimizing errors, and supporting medical decision-making under the supervision of qualified professionals and ethical standards, ultimately contributing to a healthcare system that the public can trust.”
The 2026 edition is expected to feature more than 300 exhibitors from 15 countries across 14,820 square metres of exhibition space and attract more than 13,000 visitors from laboratories, hospitals, government agencies, educational institutions and manufacturing industries.
Participating companies are expected to include Merck, Agilent Technologies, Mettler Toledo, Waters, Anton Paar, OHAUS, Hach and IKA, alongside Thai companies including Gibthai, DKSH, Bara Scientific, Becthai and Sithiporn Associates.
The programme will include an AI Innovation Showcase, Immersive LAB Experience, Business Matching Program, Hosted Buyer Program, International Pavilion, Startup & Innovation Zone, LAB Square, BIO Square and INNOVATION Square.
More than 100 conferences, workshops and technical forums are also planned, with over 125 experts from 10 countries covering laboratories, biotechnology, health technology, food safety, chemicals and sustainability.
Thailand LAB INTERNATIONAL 2026, Bio+ HealthTech INTERNATIONAL 2026 and FutureCHEM INTERNATIONAL 2026 will take place from 2–4 September 2026 at BITEC in Bangkok.
