Endo Tools raises $23M to scale FDA-cleared endoscopic suturing platform

The Series C financing will support commercialisation of the endomina platform and clinical evidence generation for a US weight-loss indication.

Endo Tools Therapeutics has closed a €20 million Series C financing round, equivalent to approximately $23 million, to advance commercialisation of its endomina platform and recently FDA-cleared endomina EZFuse system.

The financing was led by Capricorn Partners through the Capricorn Healthtech Fund II, with support from MGFO and existing investors. The funds will support expansion across the United States, Europe and the Middle East, as well as clinical evidence generation for a potential US weight-loss marketing indication.

This is relevant because gastrointestinal procedures are increasingly moving toward less invasive approaches that can reduce hospital burden, complications and recovery time. Endoscopic suturing platforms may allow physicians to perform advanced interventions through natural orifices, avoiding external incisions.

The endomina platform consists of a triangulation platform and suturing units that can be attached to standard endoscopes. It creates a flexible therapeutic channel that moves independently, enabling physicians to perform suturing through the mouth.

The platform is designed for procedures involving soft tissue approximation in the gastrointestinal tract. In Europe and selected Middle Eastern markets, the device is approved for endoscopic gastroplasty procedures for obesity treatment, with more than 1,500 procedures performed. In the United States, it is cleared for placement of sutures and approximation of soft tissue in the gastrointestinal tract.

The newly cleared endomina EZFuse system builds on the platform with a more intuitive design and single-movement suturing mechanism. The company said early procedural experience has shown faster suturing, with the system designed to reduce operational burden, user fatigue and unnecessary steps.

The obesity care angle is commercially important. Endo Tools is positioning endomina as a minimally invasive option for patients with Class I and II obesity who may be seeking alternatives to surgery, chronic GLP-1 therapy or combined treatment approaches.
